LiveOps is powered by its People and thus, the People Department is tasked with finding and retaining top talent and works to advocate and fortify a culture of strong relationships, collaboration, innovation, accountability and fun.  The Payroll Coordinator position is responsible for planning, planning, organizing, processing, and administering all aspects of the company’s bi-weekly salaried and hourly, multi-state payroll, to include taxation set-ups and annual audits. As Payroll Coordinator, you will serve as a role model and ambassador of the Company’s “can do” culture as you interface with all levels of internal employees.

Responsibilities

  • Process and administer company payroll to ensure employees are paid accurately, timely and in compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Research, analyze, develop, and implement process improvements to payroll related policies and procedures. While maintaining current knowledge of applicable or multi-state and federal taxation, wage and hour laws, changes in Company policy language as they pertain to pay rate and other applicable changes.
  • Verify, process and respond to unemployment claims and employment verification requests, i.e. unemployment claims, mortgage companies, etc.
  • Research, respond and process wage garnishments timely and accurately in payroll.
  • Administer and process special payroll runs, manual checks and direct deposits.
  • Implement wage increases, bonuses, and other payroll changes.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of payroll functions for audit purposes, in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Maintain records for HSA and 401(k) contributions made by employees; work with vendor/providers to ensure funds are transferred as appropriate.
  • Responsible for tax set-up, continued compliance, remittance and reporting, including but not limited to quarterly and annual filings (W-2s, 940s, 941s, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Finance Department and other departments to ensure pay and personnel records are accurate and current.
  • Respond and assist employees with their payroll questions or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintenance of HRIS System: Ensure that employee personnel records are current and accurate.
  • HRIS Changes: Ensure that all HRIS changes are documented and on file to be easily accessed prior to the change being made in the HRIS system with accuracy and completing all supporting documents for HR and Payroll files.
  • Act as a back-up to the People Services Coordinator and Administrative Assistant.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality with all candidate and employee health, payroll and personnel records and information.
  • Assists with special projects as necessary.
  • Other Duties as assigned which fall within the scope of this position

Qualifications

  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • 2+ years of recent payroll processing experience
  • High School or equivalent
  • Outstanding skills in organization, prioritization and time management
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work extended / night and weekend hours if necessary or required
  • Ability to work independently and proactively, as well as accept direction on given assignments
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Must be detail-oriented and accurate
  • Strong reconciliation, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, with strength in Excel
  • Experience with time management systems
  • Experience with wage garnishment payroll procedures, laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of ACA compliance and reporting as it pertains to the payroll function

Workers in this position will be in a general office environment and required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds while operating office equipment and conducting daily duties.
